One of two 18 hole courses set in beautiful and mature parkland.
Burhill is blessed with two excellent 18 hole courses. The old course is a traditional Surrey parkland layout. The new course is an American style course and is just under 7000 yards. Both courses are very well designed to be challenging but fair, with some interesting risk reward situations.

The old course starts with a 433 yards par 4, a gentle left dog-leg. Solid trees to the left and a more open tree line to the right. Keep to the right off the tee as the trees on the apex will prevent a clean approach. The green is the first of many two tier greens.

The second is a more straight forward par 4, but the green, although relatively flat, is well protected by bunkers and mounds.

Hole 3 is an excellent par 5, 583 yards with a very definite dogleg right. A generous landing area at driving distance, but long hitters beware as the fairway narrows and if you run out of fairway there are two well placed bunkers to the left.

The fourth is the shortest par 4 at 313 yards, but it is a tricky hole. It's an almost 90° right dogleg with a narrow water course on the apex forcing a drive it blind or go for a tight lay-up decision. Then uphill to a narrow two tier green surrounded by mounds and falling ground.

Five is a straight forward 408 yard par 4, with six well placed bunkers.

The shortest hole on the course, hole 6 is a 144 yards par 3. Uphill to a seriously sloping two tier green which is protected at the front by one huge green wide bunker.

The seventh is a challenging par. Although only 383 yards, it doglegs sharply left and slopes left. Don't cut too much off the corner as there is rough ground if you miss the fairway left. The fairway drops away 50 yards from the green which slopes hard left, a four here is good result.

Eight and nine are both good par 4's and although well bunkered are a chance to score.

Hole ten is a very challenging par 3, 209 yards steeply uphill to sloping two tier green protected by three bunkers. Getting on the green in reg is one thing, two putting is something else.

Eleven is a well bunkered par 4 with a massively elevated tee (illustrated above).

Hole twelve is short par 4 at 325 yards, but it's an interesting and tricky hole as the green is totally hidden being sunk 20ft below the fairway.

The thirteenth is a 153 yard par 3. The green is set in a ring of trees, with three bunkers to the front and mounds everywhere else. Hit the green and your fine.

Hole fourteen is a 530 yard par 5 with a slight dogleg right. The ground rises steeply from the tee to the apex then downhill toward the green and slopes heavily to the right. The green is relatively small and well protected by bunkers to the front.

The 441 yard par 4 fifteenth is wide open from the tee, it's pretty flat and straight. The bunkers at the front of the fairway should be no problem although the greenside bunkers are more threatening.

Sixteen is the last par 3, 152 yards flat and straight, but the long narrow green is surround front and left by bunkers and back and right by mounds and dips.

The course finishes with two excellent par 4's, at 440 yards and 429 yards respectively.

An interesting and fun to play course set in very pleasurable surroundings.

As well as the two courses there is a driving range, two putting greens, a good pro shop and a magnificent Georgian mansion house with a restaurant and spike bar.
