A very
lush 9 hole pay & play course set on and around a big slope. |
|
The first hole is a 201 yard par 3, downhill
all the way to a flat green protected to the front by a high faced
bunker either side.
Hole 2 is a long looking 215 yard par 3. There is one bunker short
left and deep rough and trees all along the right . The green is quite
flat with a ridge around the left side and not much room behind.
The third is a 248 yard par 4, a little uphill and left to right.
It's totally open to the left but there is thick rough and OB right.
There are no bunkers but front left is a bushy tree and the ground
falls right to heavy rough. The green is also sloping left to right.
The fourth is a downhill 151 yard par 3, again open to the left and
heavy rough right. The green slopes strongly front to back.
Five is the longest hole at 259 yards for a par 4. Slightly down then
steeply uphill, with a left to right shape, but falling right to left.
The right hand side has thick rough and a massive ridge the whole
length of the fairway. The green slopes steeply from the right and
falls to a bunker on the left the whole depth of the green.
Hole six is a little downhill and left to right although you can fire
straight at the green which is hidden from the tee behind a tree.
The kidney shaped green is ringed with small trees and has some subtle
breaks.
The seventh is the shortest hole at 108 yards, uphill to a very shapely
green.
Eight is a 131 yard par 3, slightly uphill. The green is hard to stay
on, a bit short and you fall off the front, too long and your up a
steep bank, too near the right and you roll off in to the bunker.
The ninth is a 129 yard par 3, steeply uphill. The green is protected
both sides by large areas of bushes that pinch in close leaving a
small target, and surronded to the sides and rear by a raised ridge.
This is a very short course even for a nine holer, but is a stiff
test of your shot making. It is normally well maintained has decent
greens, a good driving range with spacious bays and automatic ball
teeing, a practice putting green and a chipping area, a well stocked
pro shop, friendly staff and good food. |
