| A fire has destroyed the club house, but the course is still up and running with all facilities available. There is a temporary clubhouse and pro shop and the golf course itself and the driving range are unaffected. The course starts with a 175yd par 3, the tee is protected so you can't feel the wind. The green is unusual as it's on two levels from left to right, it's quite wide with bunkers front and right. The 2nd is a decent par 4, a straight fairway narrowing about 300yds out, making your approach shot to this raised green more difficult. Another par 3 the 3rd, difficult club selection, again you can't feel the wind here, but the green is quite large. Hole 7 is a good par 5 with some real shape to the fairway, the continuous line of trees and bushes to your right is totally impenetrable. The par 4 10th is reachable for the longer hitter, 337yds but downhill all the way. Hole 12 a par 3, you are hitting from one hill to another across a ravine, the ground falls away so far, that even though the green is on a huge rising hill, it is still way below the tee. The 13th hole is a short par 4, but so uphill it's not easily reachable. There is a huge tree in the middle of the fairway which can be quite intimidating. The longest par 4 is hole 16, very straight to a raised green. You are firing blind on hole 17 the last par 5, there is a large mound running along the right and fairway bunkers left. You can't see the green even after a decent drive, miss to the right and the ground falls away Hole 18 is a very straight hole confined on both sides by large continuous mounds, it looks drivable but a well placed iron is the better choice. |
