A top notch 18 hole pay & play course with sculptured fairways and excellent greens.
Quite a challenge this course, the first two holes are over 400 yards, 3 of the par 3's are over 200 yards and one of the par 5's is 590 yards. The greens are large and shapely and often raised. Although there are a number of ponds, the water really only comes into play on three holes. In general the fairways are generous and the rough is not too damaging.

The course starts with a tough par 4, 427 yards, dogleg left, with a large bunker on the left corner. It's quite a drive to carry the bunker, so the safest route is to keep right, but that makes for a longer approach shot and means flirting with the greenside bunker.

The second is a 416 yard par 4, but being downhill from a raised tee it plays shorter than you'd think. There's a large bunker left, just off the fairway at driving distance and the green is protected front left and back by two ponds, but as long as you place your tee shot well, the green is not too hard to find.

Hole three is a short par 4 at 335 yards, but it's uphill to a very tricky and well protected green. If you can keep it right off the tee your approach will be much easier.

Next is the longest par 3 at 221 yards. From a slightly elevated tee to a long green that slopes from back to front. It's is easy to three putt here, especially if you leave yourself a downhill putt.

The fifth is the first par 5, 492 yards uphill right dogleg. With a large bunker on the left at driving distance, the best line is the right edge of the fairway. The raised green is angled away from you right to left and with two bunkers front left and one more back right, you're better to attack the green from the right.

Six and seven are both interesting 400 yard par 4's.

Hole 8 is the shortest on the course at 145 yards, but the sloping green is well protected by 3 bunkers.

The front nine finishes well with a tough 450 yard par 4. A blind tee shot uphill, then down hill to long narrow green sloping left to right towards the pond which runs along the length of the right side of the green.

Ten is a good par 5. Big dogleg right, with 2 bunkers on the apex, but if you get past the dogleg you have a chance to get on in two, although the hole is well protected short and the undulating green is raised.

The twelfth is one of the shorter par 4's at 377 yards, and the narrowest fairway on the course. The green is very slopey with OB at the back. The wise play is to lay up to a full wedge.

At 590 yards the par 5 thirteenth is the longest hole on the course. A left dogleg, the fairway narrows at driving distance with a large bunker on the right corner and OB along the right. There's not much chance you'll be going for the green in two, so keep left with your approach as the fairway falls right.

Fourteen is the shortest par 4. At 306 yards you can get on with a good drive but, the small green is tucked left, raised and bunkered front and right, so you could turn one of the easiest holes into a nightmare. Smart play is to hit it where you see it and pitch on.

Fifteen and sixteen are both heavily bunkered medium length par 4's and seventeen is another long par 3 at 216 yards.

The 508 yard par 5 eighteenth is an excellent finishing hole. Left dogleg uphill from the tee, with a large bunker on the right corner, then downhill to a relatively small green protected front and left by a pond, front right are two bunkers and OB at the back.

A very well designed and maintained course that is both interesting and playable. Although fairly new the course has matured extremely well. An ideal venue for group outings and society days.
