Draconian dress policy required that my playing partner returned home to change into a pair of shorts without 'pockets' prior to playing, and I witnessed another visitor being turned away whilst waiting for him to return.

Course did not live up to the £35 green fee: greens fair, but cracked and under repair in several areas without proper demarcation.

Members rather impolite and some dreadfully slow play exhibited and poor knowledge of etiquette.

Not recommended.

Editors Note:
I played here end of July, the course and greens were in excellent condition. True they are very hot on dress code.

I played this course once on a hot and breezy summer's day. It was immaculate - the greens like lightning and as a 20 handicapper I found it very tough. My playing partner was off 9 at the time and took the back nine apart, but then when one drives 300 yards plus there are not many courses to frighten you! (HA! editor)

There are 4 or 5 really good holes on this course - very much risk and reward on the 2nd shot, particulary if one is hitting more than a 7 iron into a green. They will hold but only with height - a low long iron just will not stop and the bunkers are very well positioned.

A really enjoyable course as a one off, but I wouldn't want to play it every week.
